CACI Receives Contract for Testing and Evaluating Sensors for Surveillance and Threat Detection System

CACI International Inc announced today it was awarded a $32 million contract to provide engineering and technical support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division’s Electro-Optic (EO) Technology Division.

This five-year (one base year plus two one-year options and two award term years) task order was issued under the SeaPort-e vehicle and represents new business in CACI’s C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) market area.

Under this contract, CACI will support the Electro-Optic Technology Division, part of NSWC Crane’s Special Warfare and Expeditionary Systems Department. The company will provide a range of engineering and technical services – including test and evaluation, logistics, and field engineering – for electro-optic sensors used on airborne, maritime, and ground platforms. The EO sensors provide critical capabilities for surveillance, detection, and tracking of targets for combat and non-combat missions.

SeaPort-e is the Navy’s electronic platform for acquiring support services in 22 functional areas. In working with the SeaPort program since its inception in 2001, CACI has provided support for a large spectrum of integrated warfare systems and technology that perform functions such as engaging enemy targets and providing defensive capabilities.

John Mengucci, CACI’s Chief Operating Officer and President of U.S. Operations, said, “Backed by our decades of experience supporting acquisition and logistics for key Navy programs, CACI offers the deep understanding and domain expertise needed to ensure that Navy sensors and related systems have been properly tested and are ready for deployment both at sea and ashore.”

According to CACI President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Asbury, “This contract supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division, one of dozens of task orders CACI has won on the SeaPort-e vehicle, further strengthens our position as a prime provider of logistics support on large Department of Defense programs and enables us to continue maximizing defense readiness and combat sustainability for the Navy.”
