Acromag has added one more product, Model ST133, to its ST130 series of temperature transmitters. Model ST133 is an isolated thermocouple/millivolt USB-configured signal conditioner, which comes with an isolation barrier that eliminates ground loop errors and reduces noise to a great extent.
The transmitter, which is fabricated as a high-performing version of the ST132, can convert sensor input signals from either a ±100 mV range or from eight thermocouple types and outputs a 4-20 mA process control signal.
The company declared that the ST133 could be easily installed, especially when it is connected through a USB to a computer after which it is set up utilizing free Windows configuration software.
The model’s other features include rugged design, signal linearization and cold-junction compensation functions which would be of great help when these transmitters are operating in harsh industrial environments.
The model is shock and vibration resistant and breaks up ground loops and decreases signal noise. There is a 1500 V isolation between the input and the output circuits. It responds within a time period of 30 minutes and also offers high-level electrical noise immunity. The model could be mounted on a DIN Form B sensor head or on a DIN rail. It is CE compliant while the UL/cUL Class 1 Div 2 Zone 2 Approvals are still pending. Its Non-polarized output/power connection avoids incorrect wiring and its ambient temperature drift is less than 75 ppm/°C. Its operating temperature range is between: -40°C and +80°C.
