Hollysys Automation Technologies, a Chinese company, which provides automation and control technologies, has made an announcement stating that it has entered into the International Market, by signing a contract with Ying Heng Technology, which is acting on behalf of Unitelco for a high speed rail signaling system. This contract is worth around US$ 2.1million.
As per the contract, a demonstration laboratory is to be set up at the Hollysys Beijing facilities so that Unitelco could both access and evaluate the Hollysys 200-250 km/h high speed rail signaling system. This system comprises an on-board Automatic Train Protection (ATP), simulation software and a ground based Train Control Center (TCC) along with other accessory devices. All the parties have agreed to include the Hollysys software, as a follow-on purchase at a future date. This would facilitate a possible partnership between Unitelco and Hollysys for providing control and high-speed rail signaling solutions to the global market.
According to the Chairman and CEO of Hollysys, Dr. Changli Wang, the company was delighted to drive their proprietary high-speed rail signaling system towards the international markets. Unitelco will provide their project implementation and marketing skills and help Hollysys to capture the international rail market.
