CAS DataLoggers has introduced a variety of datalogging products that ensures alarm and control capabilities for the supervisory control and data acquisition systems (SCADA), thereby providing dependability, integrity and safety to its customers.
During last summer, the SCADA vulnerabilities periodically made international headlines about the unauthorized intrusion into a South Houston water plant, due to the destruction of the Iranian centrifuge systems by Stuxnet worm. As a result there is a high-demand for the improved SCADA security from prospective customers and system owners. The SCADA system controls the industrial equipments, which are employed to combine chemicals, perform filtration and electricity usage.
The company has provided a wide range of sophisticated datalogging products such as dataTaker’s intelligent dataloggers as a controller for SCADA systems to protect it from physical damage. The intelligent dataloggers serves as a verifier and overseer of the final physical operations, which includes switch on/off functions and controlling the pump motor’s physical input/output, of the of SCADA systems. These dataloggers will shut down the SCADA system and send an alert SMS via FTP to personnel, when the measured physical parameters exceed the preset limits.
Apart from dataloggers, the company also supplies Accsense wireless sensing and alarming devices that are widely employed to alert the personnel whenever the specific parameters including voltage, vibration, current, humidity and temperature go beyond the preset limit. These Accsense systems are capable of providing automated speech alert by calling the personnel via phone or by sending email and pager alerts, thereby ensuring crucial early attack alerting technology.
