Konica Minolta Sensing Americas (KMSA) has declared its participation in the Strategies In Light 2012 that is taking place at California’s Santa Clara convention center from 7 to 9 February, 2012.
At this event, the company will be focusing on the new organic light emitting diode (OLED) technology measurement that is utilized in common lighting fixtures and other related applications. The CL-500A Illuminance Spectrophotometer is the latest product offering by the company.
KMSA's popular line of illuminance meters such as the CL-200A and T-10A series has now been expanded with this new CL-500A. KMSA developed the CL-500A to determine illuminance and to help in the spectral assessment of next-generation lighting technologies. OLEDs and LEDs are the development markets, which have been globally extended in the previous years, and have become the ideal technology for several lighting applications.
According to Joe Esteves, KMSA’s Regional Sales Manager, customers are expecting this kind of device since the evolution of LED. Professionals approach KMSA to learn and understand on how to differentiate OLEDs and LEDs, as the company is a pinoeer in the measurement of light. The company has addressed these issues by offering the CL-500A spectrophotometer. This device can perform various measurements ranging from illuminance to color render index and spectral measurements.
Konica will also exhibit its new OLED panels, a combined project with GE Lighting. The company will demonstrate the CL-500A spectrophotometer and other offerings at the show.
