IFT Food Expo 2014: KMSA to Demonstrate NC-1 In-line Color Monitoring & Control System

Konica Minolta Sensing Americas (KMSA), technological leader in advanced color and light measurement solutions, will be exhibiting at the 2014 IFT Food Expo in New Orleans, Louisiana at Booth #3017. This event, scheduled for June 22 – June 24, 2014, is a leading trade show for new products and technology developments in the food industry, bringing together more than 18,000 of the world's top food science and technology professionals.

At Booth #3017, Konica Minolta Sensing Americas will be demonstrating the advanced NC-1 In-line Color Monitoring & Control System that detects color inconsistencies as products move down the production line. Built for precision, this high performance, high-speed system minimizes downtime and waste for manufacturers by notifying users in real-time when color inconsistencies are detected. For true closed-loop process control and optimized productivity, the NC-1 integrates with manufacturer process control systems to bring inconsistent products quickly within specification.

Dan Randall, National Sales Manager at Konica Minolta Sensing explains, "NC-1 in-line color control provides the manufacturer with the unique opportunity to correct a color problem before it gets to the end of the production line. The NC-1 reads color at an extremely rapid rate, real-time, and without contact with the product. This real-time data becomes the trigger for process control, eliminating waste and improving product quality with real bottom-line savings to the plant."

In addition, Konica Minolta Sensing experts will be demonstrating high performance color measurement instruments, including the CM-5 Spectrophotometer and CR-400 Chroma Meter, and color analysis software designed to evaluate the color and appearance of food, beverage, and packaging products. These solutions generate the data needed to correct inconsistencies or production inefficiencies earlier in the process for reduced waste and rejects.

If interested in having Konica Minolta Sensing color experts measure and evaluate the color and appearance of your product, please bring a sample to Booth #3017.
