Konica Minolta Sensing Americas has expanded its offering of illuminance meters with the addition of the T-10A Series Illuminance Meter. The T-10A series features the advanced optical technology used in previous illuminance meter models.
Available in two models, the T-10A series features upgraded USB communication and is capable of measuring pulse-width modulation (PWM) controlled light sources. The T-10A and T-10MA illuminance meters are handheld devices and can measure the quality and brightness of a light source as well as flickering light.
The first model, the T-10A includes a detachable receptor head that provides multiple point measurements. The detachable head can be connected using LAN cable for up to 30 measurement points. The second model, the T-10MA includes a mini receptor that allows the user to measure illuminance using a 1 m cable in narrow spaces. The T-10MA can be installed in various jigs and equipment for measuring light levels.
The T-10A series can be used for several different applications including inspections of light sources, R&D at lighting product manufacturers, illuminance measurements for security lighting and applications that require light distribution or total flux characteristics. Offering a high degree of accuracy, the RoHS-compliant T-10A series also conforms to Class-B and Class AA of JIS 1609-1:2006 and DIN 5032 Part 7 1985 Class-B.
PWM-controlled light sources often present a challenge to illuminance meters since they are capable of measuring only peak measurements. The T-10A is capable of taking an average measurement of the PWM-controlled light sources and ensures a highly accurate reading.
The other light measurement devices offered by Konica Minolta include the CL-200A Chroma meter, the CL-500A Illuminance Spectrophotometer, the LS-100 Luminance Meter and the LS-110 Luminance Meter.
