POWERCELL® load cells are simple to install, connecting to one another and the indicator via a simple daisy-chain network. Data is transmitted via CAN Bus, which ensures a strong digital signal that is unaffected by cable gauge and length, dampness, and so on. No junction box is required, removing a typical source of error. The load cells contain M12 industrial cable connectors, thus, the load cell or cable can be replaced individually without compromising system performance.

Load cell failures very often go undetected in analog systems. With POWERCELL® load cells, this is not possible. The indicator handles each load cell's weight information separately for active condition monitoring. Load cell overload or failure, out-of-symmetry faults, or out-of-range temperature signals are detected quickly and appropriate action is taken, typically allowing the scale to function until the load cell is replaced.
Weightless System Calibration with CalFree™ Plus

Every POWERCELL® load cell has an inbuilt microprocessor, which stores the load cell's calibration data during the manufacturing process. When the system is connected, the calibration data is correctly transferred to the indicator, and CalFree Plus calibrates the scale in seconds. In the uncommon event that a load cell fails, CalFree Plus reads the calibration data for the new load cell and allows the scale to be simply recalibrated.
